CITT & Canada’s Western Gateway: In Motion to Highlight Logistics Sector in Lethbridge Region

Lethbridge, AB… Canada’s Western Gateway (CWG) Trade & Logistics Corridor is hosting an event for
business owners, professional associations, training providers, and government leaders in transportation,
logistics, warehousing, and cross-border trade. With many manufacturers and ag producers having private
fleets, dynamic logistics needs, and warehousing requirements this event will highlight and celebrate the
logistics sector in our region.

Sponsored by Cando Rail & Terminals, CITT & CWG: In Motion will feature tours of key rail, agriculture, and
aviation assets in the region for the morning portion of the event. The afternoon includes keynote
presentations, panel discussion, networking, and a celebration of Teamworks Careers Supply Chain credential
graduates. The event will take place Thursday, October 9th at the historic Air West Flight Operations Hangar
at the Lethbridge Airport. This is a collaboration between Economic Development Lethbridge (EDL) and CITT Canada’s Logistics Association.

“We’re excited to be hosting our first event under the CWG banner and bring together business and industry
within Lethbridge and southern Alberta.” comments Brady Schnell, Cluster Development Manager, Canada’s
Western Gateway. “Partnering with the experts from CITT allows us to deliver high value for those attending
and create an opportunity to discuss what’s happening in the sector locally and on a global level.”

Canada’s Western Gateway is a targeted initiative led by Economic Development Lethbridge to strengthen
the transportation, logistics, and warehousing cluster along the Highway 4 trade corridor, from the Coutts
border crossing to the Lethbridge Airport. Two full-time staff support more than 200 businesses and 3,000
workers by engaging with industry, marketing the region as a strategic North American corridor, and
attracting investment to development-ready land.

“CITT is thrilled to be returning to take part in another event in Lethbridge focused on transportation and
logistics” says Pina Melchionna, President & CEO of CITT. “The professional community here is vibrant and
knowledgeable. It’s a true testament to the strength of industry here and its potential to grow even further.”
She added “I’m looking forward to another informative event, as well as getting to know the business
community here better – as well as a fantastic turnout.”

Tickets for Canada’s Western Gateway: In Motion are on sale now. Attendees can purchase a full day ticket
or join us for the afternoon only, lunch is included for all registered guests. The optional morning tour
includes the Lethbridge Airport and Cando Rail & Terminals and will highlight other logistics assets in the
area. The afternoon registration is focused on industry lead speakers and panels, discussing roadblocks,
opportunities and solutions to help strengthen the transportation & logistics corridor in our region.

“Cando Rail & Terminals is proud to be a part of this event hosted by Canada’s Western Gateway and CITT.
The key to successful supply chains is industry collaboration, and this event achieves that by bringing
together the logistics sector in Southern Alberta,” explains Brent Peterson, Business Development Manager,
Cando Rain & Terminals. “We look forward to showing the group our Lethbridge Terminal, where we provide
critical rail capacity to our customers, including development opportunities with rail access. We are excited
to have meaningful conversations with attendees on rail and transportation-related opportunities and
challenges they face in the region and beyond.”

Media are invited to attend between 2:45 PM and 3:15 PM where representatives from CWG, CITT and
industry partners will be available for comment.
