Team Lethbridge to Embark on 7th Mission to Alberta Legislature

Nov 28, 2022

Lethbridge, AB…Team Lethbridge, a partnership of 23 local organizations, are preparing to visit Edmonton, December 6th through 8th. This will be the 7th mission to the provincial capital since 2008 and is meant to raise awareness with government ministries and members of the Legislative Assembly about the benefits Lethbridge can provide to the province. Previous trips have proved effective in communicating that Lethbridge and area are here to help the province through new government initiatives, pilot projects and collaboration with business and industry.

“Team Lethbridge continues to strengthen our community by collaborating and reinforcing relationships across varying industries while representing the unique interests of the people who live here. By doing this you can effectively present key initiatives and priorities of our city to government officials. This is why I will continue advocating for the incredible work all of you do and I look forward to continuing working together this year.”
Hon. Nathan Neudorf - MLA Lethbridge East/Minister of Infrastructure & Deputy Premier

This mission, initially scheduled for November of 2021 was delayed due to health and safety restrictions because of COVID-19. Over 50 Lethbridge and region business leaders and community stakeholders will take part in Team Lethbridge. The 3-day event will see numerous meetings with Cabinet Ministers and their staff to discuss government priorities, receptions each evening with the government caucus one night and the official opposition the next evening, and networking opportunities for all Team Lethbridge organizations.

“Team Lethbridge continues to show the rest of the province how to collaborate and strengthen relationships across many industries and interests. I look forward to seeing you on your visit to the Legislature and continuing to advocate with you for Lethbridge. Our city, our community leaders, and our key organizations contribute to the success of the whole province, and I relish the chance to show the government the best of Lethbridge along with you.”
Hon. Shannon Phillips – MLA Lethbridge West
