Economic Development Lethbridge understands this and has taken the lead on becoming a resource for businesses looking for new streams and opportunities when it comes to acquiring and retaining staff, educating the current and future workforce and upskilling the current workforce with skills for an ever-evolving world of employment.

 

Lethbridge Rural Renewal & Rural Entrepreneur Stream

The Lethbridge Rural Renewal Stream and Rural Entrepreneur Stream are two way EDL is working to help bring qualified workers and investors into our region. The Rural Renewal Stream has seen nearly 100 endorsement letters signed so far to help Lethbridge businesses with their workforce development initiatives. The Rural Entrepreneur Stream has worked with 14 entrepreneurs over the last year to help them invest or locate their business in Lethbridge. Supply Chain Automation Pilot Program

Economic Development Lethbridge understands that for businesses to grow, succeed and compete on a global scale, the use of technology and innovation is paramount. With help from local industry experts, EDL developed the Supply Chain Automation Pilot Program. These series of YouTube videos give businesses in the city a look into the possibilities of implementing new technologies such as automation, robotics, machine learning, AI and much more into their operations.
