Canada's Premier Food Corridor
Canada's Premier Food Corridor is a consortium of Economic Development professionals working to advance the agri-food sector in Southern Alberta, Canada through investment attraction and advocacy for the agri-food industry. Each Municipality or Economic Development Organization serves an individual community while focusing on a greater vision of investment, innovation, and growth for the CPFC Region. We understand that our boundaries do not define your business which is why we have taken a collaborative approach to ensure the CPFC Region is ready for agri-food development. Together we offer a welcoming business environment, strong infrastructure, and a skilled workforce.
Canada's Western Gateway Trade & Logistics Corridor
Canada's Western Gateway is a trade and transportation corridor that will support and enhance the economic opportunities in southern Alberta.
As a collective of eight key stakeholders and more than 20 potential partners, we are working together to create a high-performance corridor that is essential for moving goods through road, rail and air transportation.
Regional Innovation Network of Southern Alberta
The Regional Innovation Network of Southern Alberta (RINSA) was formed in 2011 as a collaborative partnership between Alberta Innovates with Economic Development Lethbridge/Tecconnect, Lethbridge College, and the University of Lethbridge. It has since grown to over 14 member organizations:

Southern Alberta Alternative Energy Partnership
Alberta has increasingly become the key province of interest for renewable energy developers in Canada. The availability and quality of resources available in southern Alberta is only one of the reasons for this.
Throughout the latter half of 2019 and through 2020 to date, wind and solar energy developers have announced a steady stream of new projects, coming online over the next several years.
Community and Industry Collaboration
As stewards of economic growth in Lethbridge, EDL works with many community and industry partners to offer businesses help with a variety of tools and resources aimed at helping business succeed in Southern Alberta. Through our network we have built strong relationships with numerous public and private organizations all with the intent of helping those in our community. These initiatives can include studies to help measure sentiment and metrics for a particular business or industry all the way to more social collaborations including the unveiling of the Lethbridge Brighter Together community brand in 2019.
EDL was one of the numerous local organizations who helped form the Lethbridge Regional Economic Recovery Task Force in 2020, to provide the business community with valuable information regarding aid and resources amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Working with industry allows Economic Development Lethbridge the opportunity to experience first-hand, the day-to-day ins and outs of multiple operations in our community. EDL incorporates these real time interactions, combined with up to date market data to offer solutions for real world obstacles for our industry partners. These solutions can range from introducing industry leaders to partners within our network who can offer a more in depth look into a particular organization to participating in industry specific round tables and conversations to offer a unique view though an economic development perspective.
