You've learned what goes into a business plan, but now the question is: how do you find that information? Market research can help you gain insight into your industry, competition, target market and more. It will help you create effective strategies to start your business right.

This workshop will be presented by one of Business Link's business advisors:

Susan Solway is Siksika of the Siksikaitsitapi (Blackfoot Confederacy) and is one of the Indigenous Business Facilitators with Business Link. Her primary focus is on supporting entrepreneurs from the Treaty 7 and Treaty 6 areas of the province. Over the years, Susan has dedicated her work experience to Indigenous community development and sustainability, and has obtained a bachelor's degree in International Indigenous Studies, as well as a Small Business Management certificate.

Holly Atjecoutay is Cree and Saulteaux from Cowessess First Nations in Saskatchewan. She assists Indigenous entrepreneurs in central and southern Alberta regarding the startup and expansion of their small businesses. She connects them to helpful resources while also providing guidance. She also facilitates workshops and builds meaningful relationships in both rural and urban Indigenous communities.
