EDL Launches "Online, Interactive & Ready For Business" Website & Interactive Mapping Tool

Economic Development Lethbridge (EDL) adds leading edge interactive elements to its website, making it easier for businesses to choose Lethbridge. The site, www.chooselethbridge.ca, now features personalized user accounts, user generated customized business investment profiles and dynamic interactive maps highlighting current information about the city and its primary industries.

With an increasing number of business leaders conducting research online, EDL is working to ensure that its website offers timely access to accurate, customized information.

“This project gives partners and investors an opportunity to review the Lethbridge regional marketplace in detail,” says Cheryl Dick, Chief Executive Officer of EDL. “The unique interactive features allow business leaders to see the strength of key industry clusters and will also provide business decision-makers easy access to information on suppliers, distributors, services and related industries.”

More than 250 businesses within the area’s six key industry clusters are currently included on the map which pinpoints the business location and provides contact information, business descriptions, employee numbers and more. Dick adds, “The participation of local businesses has enabled EDL to create an inventory of companies by industry cluster and we are encouraging then to use these tools to support their business expansion plans as well.”
