American Company, Ring Container Technologies Inc., Chooses Lethbridge for First Canadian Manufacturing Location

Economic Development Lethbridge (EDL) is pleased to announce that the Ring Container Technologies Inc. (Ring), an Oakland, Tennessee-based company, will be opening a plastics manufacturing plant in Lethbridge this Spring. The company is leasing existing space and anticipates an opening date the second quarter 2007.

Wayne Drake, Chief Financial Officer for the Ring, says, “The food processing strength of Lethbridge and area is one of the reasons we selected  the city for our first Canadian plant, evidenced by the fact that one of our major customers is located in Lethbridge. The excellent transportation systems were also a factor given the access to three major highways and the rail system.” Economic benefits of this operation include an approximate $2 million capital investment, the hiring of approximately 15 employees and potential employment spin-off of an additional 15 to 30 jobs in other sectors.
